Chuck Dixon recently wrote an article in the Wall Street Journal about the exclusion of conservative writers. The article was filled with errors and half-truths (political correctness caused the grim and gritty 90s? The CCA was good? There are no non-superhero comics?) to try to convince WSJ readers that don't know better, however what do you think about his basic idea that conservatives are ostracized by comic publishers?

Given that all of the major companies employ creators of virtually every political stripe, I don’t think there’s much merit in what he wrote there. Chuck says that he’s had certain experiences, and I believe him insofar as that goes—but I don’t know what the context of those experiences was, so it’s difficult to judge who is right and who is wrong. When he says that he was forced to apologize for offending some other creator at a meeting by stating his beliefs, I’d want to know what was said and in what context before I could weigh in on how appropriate or non-appropriate it might have been.

And really, that piece was all about promoting Chuck’s current project with Paul Rivoche, with whom he wrote it,.
